The Windows® Azure™ Platform (Azure) is an internet-scale cloud services platform hosted in Microsoft data centers, which provides an operating system and a set of developer services that can be used individually or together for Azure hosted application development. The Fabric controller technology ensures service availability and enables developers to upgrade existing applications without any service interruptions. The Windows® Azure™ Platform (Azure) provides both Infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-service (Paas) models. The Azure platform also has a service-level agreement that offers 99.9 percent uptime on the storage side, and 99.95 percent uptime on the compute side.
